Welcome, Coasters!

Words Between Coasts is a site created by cousins, Andrea Geones and Lexi Kakis. Unfortunately, we live on opposite coasts of the U.S. However, we are able to remain close friends through the love we share of storytelling. Because of this, we started writing and collaborating together when we were thirteen years old and have never been able to stop. Like many of you, we have had so many others try and tell us that we “can’t”. Therefore, we understand the struggle. Now, we want to extend our love of writing to the rest of the world and help others defy the odds and follow their passions!

Our Mission:

We are a community committed to activism through art and conversation. Words Between Coasts strives to help people find their voices, and use storytelling to touch souls and change lives.

Andrea

I live in Los Angeles, California, representing the west coast portion of Words Between Coasts. A person of a variety of interests, I have my toe dipped in many different pools aside from writing. I am an actor, singer, and musician by night, and by day I am working my way towards a degree in nutritional sciences.

Lexi

I live in Long Island, New York, representing the east coast portion of Words Between Coasts. I am addicted to always finding new creative passions! As a result, I play the guitar, sing, crochet, and do needlepoint, among other things. Also, I love all things comedy, writing, music and television.
